The Professional Firefighters of Hampton were chartered as Local # 2664 of the International Association of Firefighters on October 9, 1978. The PFFH serves as the exclusive bargaining unit representing the men and woman that serve as firefighters, paramedics and fire alarm operators in the Hampton Fire Department. The Hampton Fire Department Supervisory Association was chartered as Local # 3017 of the International Association of Firefighters on October 16, 1985. The HFDSA serves as the exclusive bargaining unit representing the men and woman that serve as the lieutenants, captains, deputy fire chiefs, fire inspector, fire prevention officer, and fire department secretaries in the Hampton Fire Department. Both of our local unions proudly belong to the Professional Firefighters of New Hampshire along with nearly forty other locals from around the state. Our locals each have five person executive boards that along with our full memberships work together through the local and state legislative processes to provide a safe working environment, good wages and benefits, and fair and equitable working conditions.
Our members are dedicated to protecting lives and property by performing the highest quality fire suppression, advanced emergency medical care, technical rescue, hazardous materials incident mitigation, water rescue, public education and public assistance varying from child car seat inspections to checking smoke detectors.
When we are not at the fire stations our members are active raising money for charities like the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the International Association of Firefighters Burn Foundation, and running our annual Firefighters Toy Bank. Every year we hold a Strawberry Festival for Hampton’s seniors, award a scholarship to a graduating senior from Winnacunnet High School, and sponsor and participate in various community events. Our members live, work, and play an active role throughout our community.
